Homeopathy
What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a sustainable system of medicine which has been used globally for over 200 years. It uses substances from the natural world in minute doses to help trigger the body's self healing responses. It is both gentle and powerful.
What happens during a Homeopathic consultation?
Homeopathic consultations can feel a little different to seeing your GP or consultant. We take more time and ask a lot of questions about what has brought you to a Homeopath. We also want to know about you as an individual, what kind of person are you, what are your likes and dislikes, how do you react to different situations. This helps us to build up a picture of you and not just your condition to best select an individualised remedy.
What is a Homeopathic Remedy?
Remedies are supplied by a Homeopathic pharmacy. They can be taken as pills, powders or liquid drops, your Homeopath will select the best form and decide on how often you take them. The philosophy is always 'less is more', some patients will only take a single dose or repeat a dose over a few days and then stop.
What could bring me to see a Homeopath?
I have an interest in womens health and treating them throughout the natural changes they go through. Commonly this could be for painful periods, peri-menopause, Menopause and beyond this into a focus on ageing well into later years.
Homeopathy can also be helpful at stressful points in your life, perhaps you are going through loss, grief, children moving out or caring for family members. This can provide gentle support to help you cope better and a chance to focus on your needs at these times.
Why would I consider using Craniosacral Therapy alongside Homeopathy?
Combining the two therapies really supports on all levels. Homeopathy is a mind based experience, thinking, reflecting and questions to consider. Craniosacral therapy is about body based feelings and sensations, letting the mind rest, relax and slow down, allowing these two parts of an individual to reconnect.
